Conductor David Wiley has been the RSO's music director since 1996. Now about to begin his 13th season with the RSO, Wiley also serves as music director of the Long Island Philharmonic in New York. He and his family live in Roanoke.
As of the Spring of 2008, Maestro Wiley's contract with the RSO has been extended through the 2009-2010 season.
