After-School Programs
The Roanoke Symphony Orchestra is proud to partner with Roanoke County Public Schools and Salem City Public Schools to offer after-school group violin classes for beginning string players.
Classes are held in district facilities and taught by experienced string educators. After students have completed a course of study in the After-School String Programs, students are qualified to participate in the Roanoke Youth String Ensemble.
Roanoke County School District
2022 – 2023 School Year
Classes are taught at the Burton Center for Arts and Technology in Roanoke County. Classes are taught by renowned string educator, Elizabeth Lochbrunner.
This school year, classes are held on Wednesdays.
Salem City School District
2022 – 2023 School Year
Classes are taught at Andrew Lewis Middle School in Salem City. Classes are taught by SOMEONE.
