You love the movie — you love the play — now, experience the OPERA!

Opera Roanoke’s 44th Season culminates in the Roanoke debut of Andre Previn’s masterpiece, A Streetcar Named Desire. Based on the play by Tennessee Williams, Previn’s supremely evocative score lends rapturous music, exuding the decay and languor of the Old South, to a timeless piece of modern theatre.

Amy Cofield returns to the Opera Roanoke stage in the lead role of Blanche DuBois, alongside Andrew Wilkowskeas the brutal brother-in-law Stanley Kowalski — the role made famous by Marlon Brando… “Stellaaaaa!!”

This new production is designed by Tlaloc Lopez-Watermann and directed by Crystal Manich.

CONDUCTOR | Steven White
DIRECTOR | Crystal Manich

PRINCIPALS | Amy Cofield, Patrick Cook, Dana Beth Miller, Adelaide Trombetta, Andrew Wilkowske
