Legacy Giving

Unleash the power of music…for years to come!

The Roanoke Symphony Orchestra now offers estate planning opportunities for you to ensure that the music lives and lasts for future generations. Estate planning techniques can address many tax issues including income tax, capital gains tax, estate tax, and gift tax.

The Gibson Morrissey Society was established to recognize those individuals who have made a commitment to the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra through their estate. Dr. Gibson Morrissey’s leadership and vision lifted the RSO from a volunteer orchestra to its current regional status.

To assist our donors in learning about these unique opportunities, we are partnering with planned giving consultants in the community. For more information on estate planning or how you can make a gift to the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra’s Endowment, please contact the Development program at 540.682.2730 or email cw.markham@rso.com.
